RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Aspen Survey Company, Inc. to provide general land surveying services in the not to exceed amount of $20,000 (funding source: varies by project).
BACKGROUND:
Aspen Survey Company, Inc. has successfully been providing general land surveying services that the engineering department staff is not licensed to perform for various capital projects for the City of Ripon since February of 2018.
At the February 13, 2018 City Council meeting, Council approved the Professional Services Agreement with Aspen Survey Company, Inc. in the not to exceed amount of $20,000 to provide general land surveying services.
At the June 9, 2020 City Council meeting, Council approved the Professional Services Agreement with Aspen Survey Company, Inc. in the not to exceed amount of $20,000 to provide general land surveying services.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
Staff has requested a scope and fee from Aspen Survey Company, Inc. to continue to assist with general land surveying services outside staff’s qualifications. The services agreement will include Topography Survey, Plat & Legals, Right-of-Way acquisition and other surveying tasks on an as needed basis for various capital projects.
Staff recommends the City Council approve the attached Professional Services Agreement with Aspen Survey Company, Inc. in the not to exceed amount of $20,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost outlined in the attached Professional Services Agreement with Aspen Surveying Company, Inc. is for a not to exceed amount of $20,000 which will be funded by the appropriate department depending on the task completed.
