Subject: Planning and Recreation Commissions Appointments This resolution approves Council Commission Appointments as recommended by the Mayor for the Planning and Recreation Commissions.
RESOLUTION NO. 25-6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIPON APPROVING THE APPOINTMENTS TO AND
SETTING THE TERMS FOR VACANCIES ON THE
PLANNING AND RECREATION COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Ripon is desirous of filling the existing vacancies on the Planning and Recreation Commissions; and
WHEREAS, in November 2024, the City advertised vacancies on the Planning and Recreation Commissions and received applications from several qualified candidates; and WHEREAS, the Mayor has reviewed the applications and selected from said candidates; and
WHEREAS, Steven Verver has served as the alternate seat on the Planning Commission since March 2023 and Louis Rivera has served as the alternate seat on the Recreation Commission since January 2021 and the Mayor desires to appoint them as voting members; and WHEREAS, the persons being appointed have expressed their interest in serving on the Planning and Recreation Commissions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Ripon as follows:
PLANNING COMMISSION:
Reappoints as a voting member to a 4-year term:
George Saljian Seat 1
David Collins Seat 2
Appoints as a voting member to a 4-year term:
Steven Verver Seat 3
Appoints as a new member to a 2-year alternate seat:
Lori Bunnell Seat 6 (alternate)
RECREATION COMMISSION:
Reappoints as a voting member to a 4-year term:
Rod Wright Seat 1
Appoints as a voting member to a 4-year term:
Louis Rivera Seat 2
Appoints as a new member to a 4-year alternate seat:
Joshua Sarratt Seat 6 (alternate)
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ripon this 14th day of January, 2025, by the following vote:
