Subject: Interagency Agreement SJRTD (2012-022-S_Amd 8) RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the Eighth Amendment to the Interagency Agreement with San Joaquin Regional Transit District (SJRTD), extending the term of the agreement through June 30, 2028, at the rates specified in the Amendment, for providing a driver to operate Ripon's Blossom Express bus.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Ripon Blossom Express bus operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays providing a fixed route service to stops in Ripon including SaveMart and the Ripon Library, and in Modesto to Vintage Faire Mall, Kaiser Hospital, and the Target Center. Deviations within a 3/4-mile of the bus stop are available upon request.
SJRTD has been providing a driver to operate the Blossom Express bus since the service started in 2017. Staff is recommending the City Council approve and authorize the Mayor to sign an Amendment to the Interagency Agreement extending the term of the agreement between SJRTD and the City of Ripon through June 30, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for these services is provided by the City’s allocation of Measure K Renewal transit funds and Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 funds.
