BACKGROUND:

The purpose of the Senior Center Rehabilitation Project is to provide various improvements to the exterior of Ripon’s Senior Center. This includes the installation of a new shade structure, improved facing and paneling, installation of new doors for access to the shade structure, and new landscaping and irrigation.

The project was awarded to Estate Design and Construction, Inc. at the November 12, 2024 City Council meeting for an amount of $348,000. The City Council budgeted $388,000 for this project with $421,967 available in the CBDG fund at that time.

At the June 10, 2025 City Council meeting, Council approved Change Order No. 1 in the not to exceed amount of $2,000 for the removal of a tree conflicting with location for proposed improvements at the Senior Center.

DISCUSSION:
