Subject: EV Charging Station Project Change Order #1
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve Change Order No. 1 for the addition of two bollards on the eastern side of the Corporation Yard, in the not to exceed amount of $3,748.44 (funding source: Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) Grant).
BACKGROUND:
The Electric Vehicle Charging Station Project was awarded to Valley 29 Electric, LLC at the December 9, 2025 City Council meeting for an amount of $135,650.00. The Electric Vehicle Charging Station Project includes the installation of five (5) electric vehicle chargers at the Corporation Yard and two (2) chargers at City Hall.
DISCUSSION:
The eastern side of the Corporation Yard experiences frequent traffic from large vehicles, including garbage trucks and heavy equipment, which creates a risk of damage to the new electric vehicle chargers. To mitigate this risk, staff is recommending the following contract change:
Installation of two bollards.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The attached Change Order No. 1 is in the amount of $3,748.44 and will be funded through the CRP Grant. The amended construction contract price is shown in Table 1.
