FIRST AMENDMENT
TO PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT

THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT ("First Amendment") is made and entered into this day of → 2022, by and between the CITY OF RIVERSIDE, a California charter city and municipal corporation ("City"), and SANDRA RAMIREZ, a sole proprietor, doing business as RAMIREZ EVENT PLANNING ("Consultant"), with respect to the following:
RECITALS
WHEREAS on April 23, 2019, the City and Consultant entered into a Professional Consultant Services Agreement ("Agreement") for GrowRIVERSIDE Initiative Coordinator Services, for a term of one year and a compensation amount of Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars ($32,000); and
WHEREAS at the beginning of 2020 parties were negotiating an amendment to extend the termination date of the Agreement;
WHEREAS prior to that amendment being completed, beginning March 2020 all large events and gatherings ceased pursuant to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency and subsequent various Executive Orders from the California Governor's Office as well as guidelines from local, state, and federal health officials; and
WHEREAS in March 2020 the City reduced operations and all non-essential operations and events were canceled; and
WHEREAS beginning June 2021 the City has resumed some non-essential functions and events; and
WHEREAS the parties now desire to resume the planning of GrowRIVERSIDE initiative events and activities; and
WHEREAS the City and Consultant now wish to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional twelve-month period beginning March 1, 2022, or upon execution of this agreement, whichever is first, and ending April 30, 2023, and increase the total compensation for the contract to Sixty-Four Thousand Dollars ($64,000.00) for the additional services during that period.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing recitals which are incorporated herein by this reference, City and Consultant agree as follows:
Section 2, "Term," is hereby amended to extend the term of the Agreement to April 30, 2023.
