Over the years his dedication and inclusion of all people into this program and great insight have helped this program flourish.

His involvement in the East side Heal Zone representing both public and private sectors , school districts, health clinics to bring healthy behaviors to the community. He assisted in bringing the skate park to the East side and has always been paramount in advocating for our community, as a whole. I have only targeted just a few of his initiatives in our community.

It is all together fitting and proper to Honor Councilman Melendrez's service to community by naming the Community room or Auditorium in his honor for perpetuity.

The Riverside Arts Academy Board of Directors respectfully requests the City Council to consider this request.

This would be a glorious way to recognize his illustrious career in local government .
