4 On July 2, 2019 the City Council adopted the 2019-2020 HUD Annual Action Plan.
This plan included an allocation of $142,314 for the Ward 5 Street Improvements project for Sequoia Street from Garfield Street to the End of the Street and Estrellita Street from Azalea Street to Sequoia Street.
Multiple issues including property e asements and the necessary removal of established trees which would change the character of the neighborhood have delayed this project and made it impractical to continue with the project as planned.
The Public Works Department has proposed a replacement project in Ward 5, Street Improvements to Shelby Drive from California Avenue to End of Streetthe northerly terminus, Crystal Avenue from Shelby Drive to End of Streetto the easterly terminus, Snowberry Street, f rom Crystal Avenue to Monteel Place, and Monteel Place
