The Project aligns with each of the Cross-Cutting Threads as follows:

Community Trust – The Housing First Plan was developed with community input to identify affordable housing development sites that meet the greatest needs of residents in the City. Priorities are based on the City’s Annual Action Plan and Five-Year Consolidated Action Plan for federal funding, the Permanent Local Housing Allocation Five Year Spending Plan, and the Housing Element.

Equity – The Housing Authority provides critical funding to development affordable housing projects that ensure all eligible persons receive equitable access to housing with dignity, respect, and compassion regardless of the circumstances, ability, or identity.

Fiscal Responsibility – The Housing Authority utilizes federal and state housing funds to create very low- to low-income housing that result in economic stability for very-low to low-income residents. The Housing Authority’s investment will result in a 20:1 return when the project are fully funded.

Innovation – The affordable housing projects update will inform City residents and partners on how the Housing Authority is meeting ongoing and changing needs of very-low to low-income members of the community.
