PRESENT: Chair Edwards, Vice Chair Plascencia, and Member Cervantes ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: Phaedra Norton, Edward Enriquez, Michelle Davis, Lorissa Villareal, Agripina Neubauer, Paloma Montes, Christiana Kalawa, and Tara Curruth
Chair Edwards convened the meeting at 3:02 p.m.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC
Damien O'Farrell spoke regarding the five-year plan to reduce homelessness and goals that are achievable and aspirational on prevention and awareness.
The Housing and Homelessness Committee recessed at 3:07 p.m. and reconvened at 3:30 p.m. with all the members present.
Vice Chair Plascencia left the meeting at 4:40 p.m.
CONCEPTUALLY APPROVE DRAFT FIVE-YEAR PLAN TO REDUCE HOMELESSNESS, INCLUDING HOMELESS HOUSING, ASSISTANCE AND PREVENTION (HHAP-3) AND HOME INVESTMENT
PARTNERSHIPS-ARP DRAFT REGIONAL OUTCOME GOALS
Following discussion, it was moved by Chair Edwards and seconded by Member Cervantes to approve the draft Five-Year Plan to Reduce Homelessness, including the Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention-3 and HOME Investment Partnerships Program-ARP regional outcome goals and funding priorities for City Council's consideration. The motion carried with Councilwoman Plascencia absent.
ITEMS FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION
Member Cervantes requested an update on the Winter Shelter Program.
