RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 9 - "PEACE, SAFETY AND MORALS" PROPOSED CHANGES
TO REGULATE HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS IN WILDLIFE URBAN INTERFACE Following discussion, it was moved by Member Plascencia and seconded by Chair Perry to (1) receive and order filed a report regarding a proposed ordinance to regulate homeless encampments in the wildland-urban interface in the City of Riverside; (2) recommend that the City Council adopt the proposed ordinance regarding the regulation of homeless encampments in the wildland-urban areas of the City; and (3) direct staff to conduct an analysis on other areas of concern regarding health, safety, and welfare in the City to regulate homeless encampments and report back to the Committee. The motion carried unanimously.
ITEMS FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION
Member Plascencia requested an update on the Park and Neighborhood Specialist (PANS) hiring at a future City Council meeting.
