ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 3 .48 AND SECTIONS
3.48.050 AND 3.48.070 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL
CODE IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows:
S ection 1: Exhibit “A” to Chapter 3.48.050, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, is hereby amended in its entirety and replaced with the Exhibit “A” attached hereto.
Section 2: S ect ion 3.48.050 of the Riverside Municipal Code entitled “ Description of area” is amended in its entirety as follows:
“The Arlington Business Improve ment District area created herein is in t he Arl ington area of the City of Riverside generally between Arlington Avenue on the north , along Van Buren Boulevard to Lincoln Avenue on the south, L a Sierra Avenue on the west, to Sherman Drive on the east, said area being more accurately described on the Arlington Business Improvement District map placed on file in the Office of the City Clerk. ”
Section 3: Section 3.48.070 of the Riverside Municipa l Code entitled “System of assessments or charges imposed,” is amended in its entirety as follows:
“A charge system is hereby imposed whereby each business entity within the Parking and Business Improvement Area, known as the Arlington Business Improvement District, as hereby created, shall pay an amount equal to one hundred percent ( 100%) of the non- discounted City of Riverside business tax charge as set forth in this C ode, or as it may hereafter be amended. Such funds shall be assessed and collected con current with the payment of the required business tax payment as set forth in Title 5 of th is code. Such funds are i n addition to current business tax revenue and shall be kept in a separate account from current business tax revenues and shall be used for the purposes set forth in this chapter.”
Section 4: The City Council has revi ewed the matter and, based upon the fac ts and information contained in the staff reports, administrative record, and written and oral testimony, hereby finds that this ordinance is not subject to CEQA pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 15060(c)(3) and/or 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, in that it will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical

change in the environment nor have a significant impact on the environment.
Section 5: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the Charter of the City of Riverside. This ordinance shall become effective on the 3 0th day after the date of its adoption.
