PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Counc ilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Conder, Perry, and Hemenway
ABSENT: Councilwoman Plascencia
Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.
INTERVIEWS
COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW COMMISSION CITYWIDE SEAT
The Mayor and City Council interviewed Bryan C. Thomas, Violet L. Gutierrez, Cheryl M.
Romano, Sharon L. Lazzarini, and Gregory B. Hutchins for the Citywide seat on the Community Police Review Commission for term ending March 1, 2027.
Councilmember Cervantes joined the meeting at 12:18 p.m.
Following discussion, it was moved by Mayor Lock Dawson and seconded by Councilmember Fierro to appoint Violet L. Gutierrez to the Citywide seat on the Community Police Review Commission for term ending March 1, 2027. The motion carried with Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, Perry, and Hemenway voting aye, Councilmember Conder abstaining and Councilwoman Plascencia absent.
PLANNING COMMISSION WARD 3
The Mayor and City Council interviewed Alan J. Meyer and Rafael Elizalde for the Ward 3 seat on the Planning Commission for term ending March 1, 2025.
Following discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Fierro and seconded by Councilmember Cervantes to appoint Rafael Elizalde to the Ward 3 seat on the Planning Commission for term ending March 1, 2025. The motion carried with Mayor Lock Dawson and Councilmembers Edwards, Cervantes, Fierro, and Hemenway voting aye, Councilmembers Conder and Perry voting noe and Councilwoman Plascencia absent.

ITEMS FOR FUTURE CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION
Councilmember Perry requested to consider changing the room for interviewing candidates. This item will be referred to the Inclusiveness, Community Engagement, and Governmental Processes Committee.
