ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 1.12 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE IN ITS ENTIRETY TO ESTABLISH THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SEVEN COUNCILMANIC WARDS IN THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE AS A RESULT OF THE 2020 FEDERAL DECENNIAL CENSUS.
The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Chapter 1.12 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows:

1.12.010 ESTABLISHED – BOUNDARIES.
There are hereby established in the City seven wards for the election and qualification of members of the City Council which shall be known as the First Ward, Second Ward, Third Ward, Fourth Ward, Fifth Ward, Sixth Ward and Seventh Ward. The boundaries of the respective wards shall be as follows in this Chapter.
1.12.020 FIRST WARD.
The boundaries of the First Ward shall be as follows:
BEGINNING at the centerline intersection of Jurupa Avenue and Tower Road; Thence northerly and northeasterly along the centerline of Tower Road to the centerline of Rubidoux Avenue; Thence northwesterly along the centerline of Rubidoux Avenue to the centerline of Tower Road; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of Tower Road to the centerline of Bandini Avenue; Thence southeasterly along the centerline of Bandini Avenue to the centerline of Palm Avenue; Thence northeasterly along the centerline of Palm Avenue to the centerline of Tequesquite Avenue; Section 2: The City Council has reviewed the matter and, based upon the facts and information contained in the staff reports, administrative record, and written and oral testimony, hereby finds that this ordinance is not subject to CEQA pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 15060(c)(3) and/or 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, in that it will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment nor have a significant impact on the environment.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the Charter of the City of Riverside. This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the date of its adoption.
