PRESENT: Mayor Lock Dawson and Members Cervantes, Perry, and Conder
ABSENT: None
Mayor Lock Dawson called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.
ORAL COMMUNICATION FROM THE AUDIENCE
There was no one wishing to address the Committee.
SELECTION OF APPLICANTS FOR INTERVIEW FOR COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW COMMISSION WARD 2 AND WARD 3 SEATS
Following discussion, it was moved by Mayor Lock Dawson and seconded Member Perry that the Mayor and City Council interview (1) Justin I. Ramirez, Derek L. Thesier, and Gary A. Ringrose for the Ward 2 seat on the Community Police Review Commission; and (2) Jose R. Arballo, Ian H. Harte, Robert M. Righter, and Constance B. Wahlin for the Ward 3 seat on the Community Police Review Commission. The motion carried with Member Cervantes absent.
Member Cervantes joined the meeting at this time.
REAPPOINTMENT OF CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTA TIVE TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND
COMMITTEE
Following discussion, it was moved by Memb er Perry and seconded Member Conder to reappoint Councilmember Edwards to the Historic Preservation Fund Committee for a term ending March 1, 2024. The motion carried unanimously.
SELECTION OF APPLICANT FOR INTERVIEW FOR COMMUNITY POLICE REVIEW COMMISSION WARD 2
Following discussion, it was moved by Me mber Perry and seconded by Mayor Lock Dawson that the Mayor and City Council interview Joe Vasquez for the Ward 2 seat on the Community Police Review Commission. The motion carried unanimously.
ITEMS FOR FUTURE MAYOR'S NOMINATING AND SCREENING COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION There were no items requested at this time.
