Chair Cervantes convened the meeting at 3:31 p.m.

DISCUSSION CALENDAR
ESTABLISH SHARE PROGRAM TO ASSIST QUALIFYING SOLID WASTE CUSTOMERS Following discussion, it was moved by Chair Cervantes and seconded by Vice Chair Perry to recommend that the City Council approve the establishment of a SHARE program to assist qualifying City of Riverside Solid Waste customers. The motion carried with Member Conder absent.
PROPOSED RULES OF PROCEDURE AND ORDER OF BUSINESS RELATED TO ROLE OF
MAYOR'S NOMINATING AND SCREENING COMMITTEE, COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE,
AND BROADCAST OF PUBLIC MEETINGS
Following discussion, it was moved by Vice Chair Perry and seconded by Chair Cervantes to approve the recommendation to (1) the role of the Mayor's Nominating and Screening Committee, Council meeting schedule, and broadcasting of public meetings; (2) City Council having a discussion on the names of the Standing Committees; (3) direct staff to (a) remove the wording workshop from the Council meeting schedule; (b) insert cell phones in lieu of electronic communication and include 'be kept to a minimum'; ICGC-63

(c) include limited to 5 minutes to Ceremonial Matters; (d) include the wording that the City Council have the authority to refer items to Standing Committee; (d) include a firm understanding of an abstention; and (e) refer the change to Section XIV of removing the interview process from the Resolution to City Council; and (4) request staff bring forth any specific language recommendations along with a corresponding resolution to the full City Council for discussion. The motion carried with Member Conder absent.
