RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORATION PLANNING PROGRAM WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CITWIDE SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Riverside (“City”) is eligible to receive Federal and/or State funding for certain transportation planning related plans, through the California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, a Restricted Grant Agreement is needed to be executed with the California Department of Transportation before such funds can be reimbursed through the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City will use the funds from the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program to develop individual pedestrian and bicycle circulation plans for fifty (50) elementary and middle schools citywide; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to delegate authorization to execute this agreement and any amendments thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows:
Section 1: That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a Restricted Grant Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Riverside, and is hereby authorized to execute all necessary agreements and documents for the purpose of securing the grant funds provided by the California Department of Transportation, including any extensions and amendments thereof, to implement the approved grant project. / /
