As a Captain and President of Riverside City Firefighters Association, Tim Strack embodied the finest qualities of a true firefighter. Tim Strack served the citizens of the City of Riverside with honor and distinction for 28 years. Tim loved the fire service, but he loved the City of Riverside even more. Ever an example, Tim received numerous awards and accolades during his career, including CPF Ist District Vice- President Emeritus, President of RCFA Local 1067 for 21 years and many other community honors.

Tim was also an advocate for strengthening our community, by increasing safety and creating an environment where residents and visitors can have a sense of place. The parks in Riverside provide just that. The Riverside City Firefighters believe that renaming El Dorado Park in memory of Tim Strack, for his decades of service to our community, would be an immense honor. Tim Strack Park may inspire children and adults to follow in Tim's footsteps by pursuing a career in public safety or encouraging participation in our civic and community organizations.

The parks in Riverside Rafael Llamas provide just that. The Riverside City Firefighters believe that renaming El Dorado Park in memory of Tim Strack, for his decades of service to our community, would be an immense Jason Roehl

Per City Policy 01.021.00, we ensured Tim Strack's next of kin, Wendy Strack, was supportive of this recommendation. All of Tim's family, especially Wendy, are extremely Mark Thompson
honored of this idea.

Tim's influence and reach was large. Although we will never replace him, we are hoping that by renaming a park will be one aspect in how we can honor his legacy.
