Mission
The mission of the Riverside Park and Recreation Commission is to address the changing needs of people of all ages and cultures, in a variety of safe and attractive parks, trails, landscapes and facilities.

Receive quarterly updates on Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and deferred maintenance projects that occur on Parks property.
Arts, Culture and Recreation
Goal 1.1
Strengthen Riverside’s portfolio of arts, culture, recreation, senior, and lifelong learning programs and amenities through expanded community partnerships, shared use opportunities, and fund development.
Engage with community partners to develop future program and project collaborations.

Goal 2.4
Support programs and innovations that enhance community safety, encourage neighborhood engagement, and build public trust.
Represent the Park and Recreation Commission by attending Ward specific events and engaging with community members.

Strengthen neighborhood identities and improve community health and the physical environment through amenities and programs that foster an increased sense of community and enhanced feelings of pride and belonging citywide.
Review and provide feedback to the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department budget and advocate for additional funding in alignment with Department goals.
