A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF RIVERSIDE,
2 CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE
3 APPROXIMATELY 0.84-ACRES OF SPENCER COURT SITUATED ON
THE EAST SIDE OF GREEN ORCHARD PLACE BETWEEN LONE
4 PEAK COURT AND CRYSTAL VIEW TERRACE, AND SETTING THE
DATE, HOUR AND PLACE OF HEARING, PURSUANT TO THE PUBLIC 5 STREETS, HIGHWAYS, AND SERVICE EASEMENTS VACATION
LAW.
6 7 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Planning 9 Case No. PR-2021-001180, it is the intention of the City Council to vacate approximately 0.84-acres 10 of Spencer Court, consisting of approximately 500 feet in length and 60 feet in width, situated on the cast side of Green Orchard Place between Lone Peak Court and Crystal View Terrace, within the 11 12 City of Riverside, California, to facilitate future street improvements for a gated residential community and a Street Name Change from "Spencer Court" to "Aryana View Court." 13 Section 2: The City Council hereby elects and expresses its election to proceed in Planning 14 Case No. PR-2021-001180 pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 3 of the Public Streets, Highways, 15 and Service Easements Vacation Law, commencing with Section 8320 of the Streets and Highways 16 Code of the State of California.
17 Section 3: The public street proposed to be vacated in Planning Case No. PR-2021-001180, 18 is approximately 0.84-acres of Spencer Court, consisting of approximately 500 feet in length and 60 19 feet in width, situated on the east side of Green Orchard Place between Lone Peak Court and Crystal 20 View Terrace, within the City of Riverside, California, as more particularly described and depicted 21 in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference. 22 Section 4: The date, hour, and place for hearing all persons interested in the proposed 23 vacation of the public street in Planning Case No. PR-2021-001180 is set as January 23, 2024, at 24 3:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Riverside City Council located adjacent to City Hall, at 25 3900 Main Street, Riverside, California.
26 Section 5: At the hearing provided for in Section 4 hereof, the City Council shall determine 27 whether this public street is unnecessary for present or prospective use, and if so, the reservations or 28 exceptions from the vacations that public convenience and necessity require, if any, which shall be CITY ATTORNBY*S OFFICE

1 recited in the resolution of vacation as provided in Section 8341 of the Streets and Highways Code. 2 Section 6: Notices of the date, hour and place of the hearing of the proposed vacation shall 3 be posted conspicuously along the public street proposed to be vacated at least two (2) weeks before 4 the day set for the hearing. At least three (3) notices shall be posted not more than three (300) 5 hundred feet apart. The notices shall state the day, hour, and place of hearing; shall refer to the 6 adoption of this resolution of intention; and shall describe the public street proposed to be vacated. 7 Section 7: The City Clerk shall cause notice of the date, hour, and place of the hearing on this resolution of intention to be published for at least two (2) successive weeks prior to the hearing 8 in The Press Enterprise.
