RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF
SPENCER COURT TO ARYANA VIEW COURT.
WHEREAS, California Government Code section 34091.1 provides that whenever the legislative body finds that a name should be adopted and applied to any street, or that the existing name of any city street should be changed, the legislative body may adopt a resolution designating a name for, or change the name of, such street; and
WHEREAS, Spencer Court curr ently provides access to nine out of the ten parcels (“Parcels”) that were created with Tract Map No. 31502 (the “Map”); and WHEREAS, the Map was recorded, and the right-of-way was improved in 2008 however, all of the lots have remained vacant; and
WHEREAS, the Parcels are proposed to be part of a gated, private communit y intended to include custom-built residences with enhanced landscaping and entrance improvements; and WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting to change the existing street name to reflect t he character of the future development; and
WHEREAS, both of the property owners that own land on Spe ncer Court are in agr eement with the proposed street name change; and
WHEREAS, the street name change would not affect delivery of essential public services, including fire and police responses or postal service delivery; and WHEREAS, the street name change will be consistent with the street naming criteria established in Section 19.900.040 of the Zoning Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered Planning Case No. PR-2021-001180 at a
public hearing held October 13, 2022, and approved the street name change from “Spencer Court” to “Aryana View Court”; and
WHEREAS, on December 19, 2023, the City Council held a public hearing and after considering all of the testimony both written and oral, approved the name change.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows:
Section 1: That portion of Spencer Court, situated on the east side of Gree n Orchard Place between Lone Peak Court and Crystal View Terrace, as shown on the map in the attached Exhibit “A”, and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby changed to Aryana View Court.
S ection 2 : The City Clerk of the City of Riverside is hereby authorized and directed t o cause a certified copy of the Resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Riverside County, California.
S ection 3 : Pursuant to California Government Code section 34092, the City Clerk is further authorized and directed to promptly forward a copy of the Resolution for the street name change to the Board of Supervisors of Riverside County, California.
