DISCUSSION ON REGULATIONS AND EFFORTS REGARDING FOOD
TRUCKS AND SIDEWALK VENDORS.
ISSUE:
Substitute Councilmember Perry for Councilmember Falcone at the August 12th City Council Land Use Committee Meeting for a discussion on regulations and efforts regarding Food Trucks and Sidewalk Vendors.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve substitution of Councilmember Perry for Councilmember Falcone at the August 12t City Council Land Use Committee meeting for a discussion on regulations and efforts regarding Food Trucks and Sidewalk Vendors.
LEGISLATIVE HISTORY/BACKGROUND:
Councilmember Perry wishes to participate in the City Council Land Use Committee discussions on regulations and efforts regarding food trucks and sidewalk vendors. In the recent months, there has been a number of food trucks operating on a nightly basis in Ward 6 on Diana Street that have created safety concerns for vehicles and pedestrians in the area. Councilmember Perry has interest in this matter and would like to participate in discussions related to this important topic. Councilmember Falcone concurs with the requested substitution.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with the requested Committee member substitution.
