SUBJECT: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE FOR LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES 2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE ISSUE
Designate a voting delegate and alternate to represent the City of Riverside at the League of California Cities 2024 annual business meeting on October 16-18, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council designate Councilmember Mill as the voting delegate and Councilmember Robillard as alternate for the Annual Business meeting of the 2024 League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo held at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, on October 16-18, 2024.
BACKGROUND/LEGISLATIVE HISTORY
The League of California Cities (League) holds an annual conference and business meeting to take action on conference resolutions that guide cities and the League in efforts to improve the quality, responsiveness, and vitality of local government in California. The City of Riverside has the opportunity to appoint a voting delegate and alternate to represent the City of Riverside at the Annual Business meeting on October 16-18, 2024.
Councilmembers Mill and Falcone concur with these appointments.
FISCAL IMPACT
The conference travel and meeting expenses are included in the City Council budgets. There is no additional funding needed to designate a voting representative or to perform the duties.
