Chair Hemenway convened the meeting at 3:02 p.m.
PUBLIC COMMENT IN PERSON/TELEPHONE
Malissa Mckeith spoke regarding the Investments and Debt report, the General Fund, responding to public comments from the dais, and Developer Fees. Jason Hunter spoke regarding Developer Fees, Interfund Loans, and the General Fund.
DISCUSSION CALENDAR
FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 FOURTH QUARTER CASH, INVESTMENTS, AND DEBT REPORT Following discussion and without formal motion, the Committee received and ordered filed the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Fourth Quarter Cash, Investments, and Debt Report.
LOCAL VENDOR PREFERENCE PROCUREMENT POLICY UPDATE
Following discussion and without formal motion, the Committee (1) received and ordered filed the Local Vendor Preference Procurement Policy update; and (2) directed staff to consider incorporating preferential hiring for local graduates and reward companies that hire local graduates.
LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
There was no legislative update.
ITEMS FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION
Chair Hemenway requested update relating to Interfund Loans at a future Finance Committee Meeting.
Vice Chair Robillard requested discussions to consider subsidized housing program for City employees and local graduates referred to the appropriate City Council Standing Committee.
