RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 21052 TO AMEND PARTS I AND II OF THE FRINGE BENEFITS AND SALARY PLAN, TO REFLECT VARIOUS UPDATES AND CHANGES IN CONNECTION WITH THE MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE RIVERSIDE POLICE OFFICER’S ASSOCIATION (RPOA) AND THE RIVERSIDE POLICE OFFICER’S ASSOCIATION (RPOA) SUPERVISORY UNITS; AND TO APPROVE THE CREATION OF THE NEW CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY RANGE FOR THE CHIEF PILOT.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 21052, the Master Fringe Benefits and Salary Resolution, was adopted by the City Council on October 4, 2005, and includes the Fringe Benefits and Salary Plan for said employees; and WHEREAS, various updates and additions to the Master Salary and Fringe Benefits Resolution have been proposed; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 21052, the Master Fringe Benefits and Salary Plan, must be revised to include the proposed changes; and WHEREAS, the Job Code Table of the Fringe Benefit and Salary Plan needs to be revised to reflect the creation of the new classification and salary range for the Chief Pilot.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, as follows:
Section 1: The Master Fringe Benefits and Salary Plan, Parts I and II, is hereby amended as follows:
To reflect the additions, revisions and/or deletions detailed in the City Council Memorandum dated January 14, 2025, regarding the Memoranda of Understanding with the Riverside Police Officer’s Association (RPOA) and the Riverside Police Officer’s Association (RPOA) Supervisory Units, as shown in Exhibit “A” attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2: Resolution No. 21052 and the Master Fringe Benefits and Salary Plan are hereby amended to 1) approve the new classification and salary range for the Chief Pilot classification, as set forth in Exhibit “B” attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 3: The provisions of this amendment shall be effective upon adoption and operative as set forth in Exhibit “A” and Exhibit “B” as amended and attached hereto.
Section 4: Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make minor, non-substantive changes to Master Fringe Benefits and Salary Plan and any related policies, procedures, or documents necessary to implement these provisions.
