RESOLUTION NO. 23537
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 23494 AND
AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF A REGIONAL APPLICATION FOR
WHICH THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE IS ELIGIBLE
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq. authorize the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery ( CalRecycle) to administer various grant programs ( grants) in furtherance of the State of California' s ( State) efforts to reduce, recycle, and reuse solid waste generatedin the statethereby preserving landfill capacity andprotecting public health andsafety and the environment; and
and
WHEREAS, the CalRecycle Organic Grant Program, Cycle 4 allows regional grant projects; WHEREAS, CalRecycle grant application proceduresrequire, among other things, a regional applicant's governing body to declareby resolution certain authorizationsrelated to the administration of CalRecycle grants; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2019, the City of Riverside adopted Resolution No. 23494 authorizing and application to CalRecycle for an Organic Grant Program and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the CITY OF RIVERSIDE that the City Council authorizes the City of Riverside to submit a CalRecycle Organic Grant Program, Cycle 4 regional application on behalf of itself as Lead Agency and the participating jurisdictions as shown by the documentation attached. The participating jurisdiction( s) is Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc., as set forth in Attachment A to this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute on behalf of Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. all grant - related documents,

including, but notlimited to, applications, paymentrequests, agreements, andamendmentsnecessary to secure grant funds and to implement the approved grant project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these authorizations are effective for five ( 5) years from the date of adoption of this resolution.

I am the Chief Operating OfficerNice President of Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. I am authorized to contractually bind Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. Pursuant to this authority, I hereby authorize City of Riverside to submit a regional application and act as Lead Agency on behalf of Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. City of Riverside is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to implement the project under the CalRecycle Organics Grant Program, ORG4: 2018- 19.
This authorization is effective as long as the Resolution is in effect.
