COMMUNICATIONS
IMPLEMENTATION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
The Committee received and ordered filed an update on Implementation of Economic Development strategy.
FUNDING PLAYBOOK FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREAS OF EXCELLENCE The Committee received and ordered filed an update on Funding playbook for Economic Development areas of excellence.
AEROSPACE/DOD CONFERENCE AND CAREER FAIR OVERVIEW
The Committee received and ordered filed an update on Aerospace/DOD Conference and Career Fair.
ITEMS FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION
Chair Robillard requests that the Economic Development Committee hold a workshop focused on the experience of retail food service establishments, such as restaurants, coffee shops, and similar businesses when starting their operations. The workshop should explore the challenges these businesses are facing and the issues currently being reported. Specifically addressing the processes related to entitlements, plan checks/permitting, and inspections, and comparing how these procedures align with or differ from those in other cities or within the County.
