AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING TITLE 7 OF THE RIVE RSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY
ADDING SECTION 7.10.091 REGARDING A DEFINITON FOR “LIVE PERFORMANCE”
The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows:
Section 1: The Table of Contents for Ch apter 7.10 of the Rivers ide Municipal Code entitled “Definitions” is hereby amended to read as follows:
“Chapter 7.10 – Definitions
Sections:
7.10.010 Definitions generally.
…
7.10.090 Intrusive noise.
7.10.091 Live performance.
7.10.095 Minor Maintenance.
…
7.10.210 Supplementary definition s of technical terms.
Section 2: Section 7.10.091 is a proposed addi tion to the Riverside Municipal Code and is hereby written as follows:
“Section 7.10.091 Live performance.
“Live performance” means any pres entation or act designed to amus e or divert th e attention of guests, patrons, attendees, or any pr esent individuals. It includes, but is not limited to, presentations or acts by bands, musicians, singers, and indivi duals operating sound amplif ying equipment as part of a performance.
Section 3. The City Council has reviewed the matter and, by based upon the facts and information contained in the staf f reports, administrative record, and written and oral testimony, hereby finds that this ordinance is not subj ect to CEQA pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 15060(c)(3) and/or 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines, Cali fornia Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, in that it will not result in a direct or reasonably fore seeable indirect physical change.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause publication once in a newspaper of general circ ulation in accordance with Section 414 of the Charter of the City of Riversid e. This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the date of its adoption.
