Subject: Kilmarmock - Speed bumps appeal

This is an appeal to have speed bumps installed on Kilmarnock Way in Riverside, 92508. We are aware that we fell short of the criteria for having speed bumps installed on our street but the counts were just short. And in lieu of that we do have large concerns about the cars that travel at a very increased rate of speed. We feel that some of these cars may be hitting in excess of 40 to 45 mph. As you can see by out petition this concern for the safety of the community and its residents is raised by more than 80 percent of the residents on Kilmarnock Way. In addition there are a great number of cars that run the stop signs. At Kilmarnock and Tweed, cars are going thru without stopping and sometimes at great speeds. With speed bumps we feel that at least it would keep drivers from going thru this stop at over 40mph. At the end of the street at Kelty there were light poles taken out twice with speeding cars not being able to make the turn because of speed. Please consider our concerns we are raising and please vote to install speed bumps on Kilmarnock Way. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Residents of Kilmarnock Way
