AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING TITLE 7 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE BY
ADDING SECTION 7.10.091 REGARDING A DEFINITON FOR “LIVE PERFORMANCE”
The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as follows:
Section 1: The Table of Contents for Chapter 7.10 of the Riverside Municipal Code entitled “Definitions” is hereby amended to read as follows:
“Chapter 7.10 – Definitions
Sections:
7.10.010 Definitions generally.
…
7.10.090 Intrusive noise.
7.10.091 Live performance.
7.10.095 Minor Maintenance.
…
7.10.210 Supplementary definitions of technical terms.
Section 2: Section 7.10.091 is a proposed addition to the Riverside Municipal Code and is hereby written as follows:
“Section 7.10.091 Live performance.
“Live performance” means any presentation or act designed to amuse or divert the attention of guests, patrons, attendees, or any present individuals. It includes, but is not limited to, presentations or acts by bands, musicians, singers, and individuals operating sound amplifying equipment as part of a performance.
Section 3. The City Council has reviewed the matter and, by based upon the facts and information contained in the staff reports, administrative record, and written and oral testimony, hereby finds that this ordinance is not subject to CEQA pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 15060(c)(3) and/or 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3, in that it will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the Charter of the City of Riverside. This ordinance shall become effective on the 30th day after the date of its adoption.
