SUBJECT: BOARD AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENT AND RESIGNATION ISSUES:
Appoint Corey Cullen to the Transportation Board Ward 4 seat and file the resignation of Willie Holley from the Budget Engagement Commission Resident Ward 7 seat.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the Mayor and City Council:
Appoint Corey Cullen to the Transportation Board Ward 4 seat for a term through March 1, 2029; and File the resignation of Willie Holley from the Budget Engagement Commission Resident Ward 7 seat effective immediately.
BACKGROUND:
Riverside City Charter Section 802 provides that each board and commission have one representative from each Council Ward.
Pursuant to Resolution 24076, Section XIV (A), Councilmember Conder recommends that the Mayor and City Council appoint Corey Cullen to the Transportation Board Ward 4 seat for a term through March 1, 2029.
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the City Clerk’s Office received a resignation from Willie Holley. Mr. Holley held the Resident Ward 7 seat on the Budget Engagement Commission for a term expiring on March 1, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Recruitment and appointment costs are included annually in the City Clerk’s budget.
