May 10, 2011– City Council adopted a Mitigated NegativeDeclaration and approved Case EPW-10-002 for Van Buren Blvd.widening (Jurupa Ave. to Santa Ana River bridge).Sept. 2012– Riverside County reconstructed the Van Buren Blvd.bridge to six lanes (3 each way), but roadway connectionsremained two lanes.May 20, 2014– City Council funded widening of northboundVan Buren to three lanes; southbound widening postponed dueto lack of funding.Feb. 5, 2019– City Council approved original TUMF agreementwith WRCOG for southbound widening.BACKGROUND1 2 10/23/2025
