1.The City works with local businesses to establish time limited parking zones to provide short-term parking opportunities; 2.Time limited parking zones help to minimize long-term parking which may reduce access to convenient parking during peak business hours; and 3.Establishment of time limited parking zones requires a petition submission from a minimum of 75% of immediately impacted businesses. •Public Works received a petition from 86% (6 of 7) of the businesses adjacent to 2879 / 2891 Main Street to establish a timed 30-Minute Parking zone on the west side of Main Street (south of the 2879 Main St. dwy) to150 feet southerly thereof; and •The proposed timed 30-Minute Parking zone will encourage more frequent turnover of on-street parking better serving patrons.DISCUSSION 3 4
