SUBJECT: BOARD AND COMMISSION RESIGNATIONS
ISSUES:
File the resignations of Nora Moti from the Commission on Aging and Steven Herrera from the Cultural Heritage Board Ward 2 seats.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the Mayor and City Council file the resignations of:
Nora Moti from the Commission on Aging Ward 2 seat; and Steven Herrera from the Cultural Heritage Board Ward 2 seat effective immediately.
BACKGROUND:
Riverside City Charter Section 802 provides that each board and commission have one representative from each Council Ward.
On Monday, November 17, 2025, the City Clerk’s Office received resignations from Nora Moti and Steven Herrera. Ms. Moti held the Ward 2 seat on the Commission on Aging for a term expiring on March 1, 2027. Mr. Herrera held the Ward 2 seat on the Cultural Heritage Board for a term expiring on March 1, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Recruitment and appointment costs are included annually in the City Clerk’s budget.
