•In 1999, fine amounts for violations of the RiversideMunicipal Code (“RMC”) were imposed and assessed bymeans of administrative citation set by ordinance 6479 § 1•RMC 1.17.230 (A) currently provides that the fine for aviolation issued by administrative citation is $100 for thefirst occurrence, $200 for the second occurrence of thesame type of violation, and $500 for the third andsubsequent occurrences of the same type of violation.BACKGROUND 12/30/2025

•Strengthen the City’s enforcement measures andensure greater compliance.•Increasing the fine amount will improve complianceby encouraging property owners and businesses toaddress violations promptly, thereby reducing thelikelihood of repeated infractions.PURPOSE RiversideCA.gov4
