Chair Perry convened the meeting at 1:00 p.m.

DISCUSSION CALENDAR
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO TITLES 1, 5, 6, AND 9 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE The Committee received and discussed the proposed ordinance amending Titles 1, 5, 6 and 9 of the Riverside Municipal Code. No one spoke regarding the matter.
Following discussion, it was moved by Member Mill and seconded by Vice Chair Conder to (1) include a standardized background investigation procedure for businesses that require a background as part of the business permit process, in addition to any specific changes for specific business types covered under their respective titles within the Riverside Municipal Code; and (2) forward the recommendation to the City Council for consideration. The motion carried unanimously.
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO TITLE 9 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE The Committee received and discussed the proposed ordinance amending Title 9 of the Riverside Municipal Code. No one spoke regarding the matter.
Following discussion, it was moved by Member Mill and seconded by Vice Chair Conder to (1) prohibit the unlawful sale or distribution of Nitrous Oxide in the City; and (2) forward the recommendation to the City Council for final consideration. The motion carried unanimously.
