RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE ALL NECESSARY APPLICATIONS, CONTRACTS, PAYMENT REQUESTS, AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL GRANT APPLICATIONS AND RELATED AUTHORIZATIONS FOR ALL GRANT PROGRAMS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND RECOVERY (CALRECYCLE).
WHEREAS, the California Public Resources Code authorizes the Department of Resource Recycling and Recovery (“CalRecycle”) to administer various grant programs (“Grant Programs”); and WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the administration of the Grant Programs; and WHEREAS, CalRecycle’s grant application procedures require, among other things, an applicant’s governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of CalRecycle Grants; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the administration of the Grant Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows:
Section 1: That the City of Riverside is hereby authorized to submit an application to CalRecycle for all Grant Programs offered.
Section 2: The City Manager, or their designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute on behalf of the City all necessary documents, including but not limited to applications, payment requests, agreements and amendments thereto, necessary to secure grant funds and to implement the approved grant project.
Section 3: The authority granted herein shall be effective for five years from the date of adoption. / /
