SUBJECT: CREATION OF THE DUANE AND KELLY ROBERTS CITY OF RIVERSIDE
EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
ISSUE:
Approve the creation of the Duane and Kelly Roberts City of Riverside Extraordinary Achievement Award recognizing and honoring the visionaries, innovators, constructors, leaders and notable men and women who have significantly contributed to the history of Riverside.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the creation of the Duane and Kelly Roberts City of Riverside Extraordinary Achievement Award and select Duane and Kelly Roberts as the first recipients to be named.
DISCUSSION:
Each of us who live in the City of Riverside stand on the shoulders of men and women of courage and vision who dreamed of a better future for our city and poured their talents and resources into creating the amazing City of Riverside we call home. Honoring and recognizing their accomplishments not only acknowledges their endeavors but also thanks their heirs and family members who still reside here. Honoring these leaders may hopefully inspire future generations of Riversiders to dream their own future projects and make our city an even better place to live, work and play. Final approval of selectees will be processed through the Mayor's office.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this report.
