SUBJECT: DONATION OF A SCOREBOARD FOR DON JONES PARK
ISSUE:
Accept the donation of a scoreboard from Pachappa Little League, Inc. to be installed at Don Jones Park.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council authorize the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department to accept the donation of a scoreboard from Pachappa Little League, Inc.to be installed at Don Jones Park.
BACKGROUND:
The Pachappa Little League, Inc. (League), will donate and install a scoreboard at Don Jones park. This additional feature will be of benefit to the League, as well as other sports park users.
The value of the scoreboard is estimated at $21,000. An agreement between the League and the City has been prepared to memorialize the arrangement and terms of this donation. The League will install the scoreboard at a location designated by Parks, Recreation, and Community Services staff. The League will also be responsible for maintenance and repair of the scoreboard.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the City as this will be completed by Pachappa Little League, Inc. and will not involve City services or funds.
