June 11, 2026 Nathan Mustafa Public Works Director City of Riverside 3900 Main StreetRiverside, CA 92522 SUBJECT: CITY OF RIVERSIDE AND RIVERSIDE TRANSIT AGENCY (RTA) REIMBURSMENT AGREEMENT UPDATE REGARDING THE HIGH INTENSITY ACTIVATED CROSSWALK (HAWK) INSTALLATION ON THIRD STREET AND ANDERSON AVENUE Dear Mr. Mustafa, RTA would like to offer our support of the Bid Award Recommendation for the City of Riverside Bid No. 8259 in the amount of $289,700 as detailed in your letter on June 8, 2026. As stated in the Reimbursement Agreement, RTA will reimburse the City up to a total amount of $318,670 which is equal to the accepted bid award amount plus a noted 10 percent contingency for construction costs. RTA looks forward to our continued collaborative efforts to improve safety and mitigate traffic congestion around the surrounding area.
