SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS FOR OCTOBER 27, AND NOVEMBER 3, 2026
ISSUE:
Cancel the City Council regular meetings on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and November 3, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council cancel the regularly scheduled City Council meetings of Tuesday, O ctober 27, 2026, due to the travel schedules for the Mayor and members of the City Council, and Tuesday, November 3, 2026, due to General Municipal Election occurring on the same date.
DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to the City Council Rules of Procedure and Order of Business (Resolution No. 24389 adopted June 23, 2026), regular City Council meetings are held on the first fou r Tuesdays of each month , except July and Augu st, when meetings a r e h e l d on the second and fourth Tuesdays.
Given that the Mayor and several Councilmembers have travel plans on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and the General Municipal Election is scheduled for November 3, 2026, Mayor Pro Tem Clarissa Cervantes recommends canceling the regularly scheduled meetings on both dates.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this report.
