RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE ARLINGTON BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE ADVISORY BOARD TO THE ARLINGTON BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND APPROVING THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF THE 2026-2027 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT.
WHEREAS, the Arlington Business Improvement District in the Arlington are of the City of Riverside (the “District”) was established by Ordinance No. 6626 for: (a) general business promotions; (b) business activities; (c) promotion of events; (d) advertising to promote area businesses; (e) landscaping; (f) clean-up activities; and (g) physical improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverside by Resolution No. 24430 stated its intention to levy and collect an annual assessment and to hold a public hearing to consider protests to the 2026-2027 levying of assessments for the Arlington Business Improvement District; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riverside has received the annual report of the Arlington Business Partnership (“Annual Report”), acting as the advisory board of the District for the fiscal year of 2026-2027; and WHEREAS, the Annual Report is on file with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council has held the public hearing and heard, considered, and ruled on all written and oral protests to the imposition of the annual levy, at said public hearing.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, pursuant to Section 36535 of the Street and Highways Code, on the basis of the staff report and the other evidence submitted by City, as follows:
The 2026-2027 annual report of the Arlington Business Partnership, acting in its capacity as the advisory board to the Arlington Business Improvement District, is confirmed.
The levy for the Arlington Business Improvement District is imposed for the fiscal year 2026-2027, beginning November 1, 2026, at a flat rate of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per business.
