16.20.060 - Extension of deadline.
A. The commission may grant one or more extensions of time up to, but not exceeding, a total of an additional four six years beyond the initial thirty-six months allowed for the filing of a parcel map. No single extension shall be granted for longer than a twenty four-month period. Applications for time extensions shall be made in writing to the planning department prior to the expiration of the tentative map. The application shall include a justification for approval of the extension, an explanation stating the reason the map was not finalized within the initial map life, and an anticipated project activity timeline. A representative for the project shall also be required to be present at any/all public hearings for the extension. Upon submittal of a complete application to extend the map, the map shall be automatically extended for sixty days or until the application for the extension is approved, conditionally approved or denied, whichever occurs first. A fee for processing any such extension shall be required in an amount to be determined by resolution of the council.
16.24.040 - Failure to File-Extensions.
