HEREAS, the City of Rocklin owns a vacant, undeveloped parcel located at parcel of 5240 Front Street, Rocklin, California, Assessor’s Parcel No. 010-144-003; and WHEREAS, the property located at 5240 Pacific Avenue Front Street has a land use designation of Mixed Use and a Zoning Designation of Historic District; and RESOLUTION NO. 2024-

HEREAS, the City of Rocklin owns a vacant, undeveloped parcel located at parcel of 5240 Front Street, Rocklin, California, Assessor’s Parcel No. 010-144-003; and WHEREAS, the property located at 5240 Pacific Avenue Front Street has a land use designation of Mixed Use and a Zoning Designation of Historic District; and W
HEREAS, the sale of City property to a private entity may assist in the generation of quality developments, including, but not limited to, affordable housing; and W
HEREAS, pursuant to the Surplus Land Act (California Government Code Section 54220 et seq.) and the Guidelines as issued by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, the property must be formally declared as “surplus” and “not necessary” for the City’s use prior to any sale or lease of the surplus properties; and W
HEREAS, in accordance with the Surplus Land Act, the surplus property shall be subject to the Notice of Availability process prior to accepting offers for the sale of the property.

W, THEREFORE, the City of Rocklin does resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City of Rocklin hereby finds the above recitals to be true and correct findings of fact in support of the City’s declaration of the property located at 5240 Front Street, Rocklin, California, Assessor Parcel Number 010-144-003, as surplus land and not necessary for the City’s use.
Section 2. The City of Rocklin hereby declares the property located at 5240 Front Street, Rocklin, California, Assessor’s Parcel Number 010-144-003, as depicted in Exhibit “A”, attached hereto and incorporated herein, to be surplus land and not necessary for the City’s use, in accordance with the Surplus Land Act (California Government code Section 54220 et seq.) PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of August, 2024, by the following vote:
