To the current Rocklin City Council members,
My name is Karin DeFoe of , Rocklin, 95765. My husband and I have lived here 30 years and it seems like the last 5 years we have seen relentless price hikes from PCWA, ( rates have been raised once this year already) PGE, Wave broadband, Recology ( the big 4) not to leave out property taxes.

When will it stop? I would like the board to approve a rate decrease.

We tore out our lawn to reduce water consumption. We carefully monitor our faucets to prevent water waste. Each morning I wake up to my neighbor across the street who waters his lawn for 20 minutes a day winter or summer. I have even called his address in to report the waste. Why doesn’t a person like that get fined? It seems that PCWA would make a bundle on water abuse but instead, I get a card in the mail twice a year from one of the big 4 saying rates are going up. In past years I’ve never had my rates go up annually with no end in sight. I protest! Rocklin is a big sports town with lots of families and a hope of a prosperous future but with the steady increase in fees it is harder to stay in this community.

Karin DeFoe
small business owner and a concerned
taxpayer, proud to contribute to the future of Rocklin.
