MINUTES OF THE
CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 25, 2026
The special meeting of the Rosemead City Council was called to order by Mayor Armenta at 5:36 p.m., in the Rosemead City Hall Conference Room located at 8838 E. Valley Boulevard, Rosemead, CA 91770.
PRESENT: Mayor Armenta, Mayor Pro Tem Low, Council Members Clark and Dang ABSENT: Council Member Ly
1. PUBLIC COMMENT - None
2. MATTERS FROM MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
A. Interviews and Appointments for City Commissions.
Recommendation: That the City Council discuss and make appointments to the City Commissions.
The City Council interviewed the following applicants for Parks and Public Safety Commissions:
Alice Camacho - Public Safety Commissions
• Janessa Bell- Parks Commissions
• Liz Fonseca - Public Safety Commissions
• Pauline Vu - Parks Commissions
• Stephanie Jordan - Parks Commission
The City Council discussed and made appointments to each respective Commission that interviewed on August 24" and August 25th.
ACTION: Moved by Mayor Pro Tem Low and seconded by Council Member Dang to reappoint and newly appoint the following applicants to a two-year term ending June 30, 2028, on the respective commissions:
• Beautification Commission: Can Liu and Sarah Florez
• Parks Commission: Michael Vuong and Pauline Vu
• Planning Commission: Emma Escobar and Lana Ung
• Public Safety Commission: Amy Wu (Business Representative) and Liz Fonseca (Resident)
• Traffic Commission: Alexander Lang and Jake Trieu
•The motion was carried out by the following roll call vote AYES: Armenta, Clark, Dang, and Low NOES: None ABSENT: Ly
