My name is kathleen Hamilton, and I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Receiving Home. I appreciate this opportunity to share our continuing concerns about this proposal for an outreach & engagement ( and respite) center potentially near the Children’s Receiving Home.
The Children’s Receiving Home is a private, non- profit residential program caring for abused, neglected and traumatized foster children; additionally, we provide services for other youth grappling with mental health issues.
As detailed in our recent letter of opposition, we have grave concerns about the possible impact of this anticipated center on the youth in our care and on our property, if the center is situated near our facility.
As our concerns and questions have not been addressed, our Board of Directors opposes the siting of this proposed project at 3615 Auburn Blvd.
Thank you for your attention.
Kathleen Hamilton
