I would like to address Council Woman Vang, the rest of the Council members & the Mayor about our elder community and the unsafe living conditions they live in. When is this council and city going to hold the owners and managers accountable for keeping their property up to safety code? How many more elder’s will be hurt on your watch? We contacted Ms Vang about Creekside Village 55 and older community. Y ou have been made aware of the challenges and yet we still have elders being hurt and feel unsafe in this community. If the city is giving any tax breaks, grant money, or any other perks to these owners; then the blood of these senior citizens is on your hands. This is Allegra Taylor founder and chief advocate of The Village Advocates standing in proxy for seniors whose names I will not mention for fear of retaliation. We are demanding you all visit these 55 and up apartments in your districts, examine the grounds and speak to your constituents. Hold these owners accountable.
