Subject: Medical Teaching Hospital at ARCO Arena, Agenda Item #19 Date: Tuesday, February 15, 2022 11:49:02 AM
To: Honorable Members of the City Council
I hereby request the Council to certify the EIR and adopt all necessary ordinances and resolutions to bring to the City of Sacramento a state-of-the- art medical teaching campus to ensure an abundance of new medical personnel to administer to the residents of the City.
A medical facility in the Natomas area will provide timely medical attention to a critically underserved area of the City; emergency care will be available within minutes, not jeopardizing life-saving care due to time and distance.
The new medical facility construction will provide living-wage employment to hundreds, as will the permanent professional staff in the thousands. Also, the medical facility will provide a nearby community access point for the many outstanding community activities and organizations.
Please review all of the data with a positive thrust of the distinct reality of a life-saving facility in freeway accessible proximity to so many Sacramento residents.

Hello Mayor Steinberg and Council Members,
Innovation Park Planned Unit & California Northstate University Medical Campus The proposal to build an economy sector in the area of the former Sleep train will allow businesses and community members access to healthcare,in "healthcare" deserts ,in the Sacramento community and housing.
Our suggestion is that the facility offers space and/or works in partnership with the area to CORE businesses when planning for the long term commercial uses. The Innovator drive will be ideal for a community based cannabis friendly store.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards.

Good evening, Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Council. My name is Carrie Markis, I am a Sheet Metal Worker (year 3 apprentice) with Local Union 104 in the Sacramento area. Projects like this are crucial for our community and allow for more construction career opportunities. As a woman in the building trades, I qualify as a targeted worker under the definition set forth under Project Labor Agreements. As such, I am in favor of this project and the changes proposed. I hope you are as well because it has the community's best interest at heart. I appreciate your time and consideration.
