I urge the city to simply show some compassion to the victims of the war on drugs. Ownership is the segway to generational wealth and without that same opportunity for core members we are not allowing an equal level playing field. The equity study is critical to the cannabis study for the city of sacramento. I urge council to consider the equity study and addressing critical issues and barriers that are hindering core applicants from equal opportunities and achieving the city's goal. The sliding scale for taxation for core participants based on annual is a holistic approach to excessive tax issues. waived fees for BOPs and CUPs and state licensing with incentives and possible tax breaks for property owners who work directly with participants.

That there are people who don't want to smoke pot at home should not be a concern of city government.
Adequate ways to measure impairment have not yet been developed. The current pot czar, according to a Bee article, says staff at a lounge could be "trained to monitor the well-being of guests, tracking them via surveillance camera and limiting visits to perhaps 30 minutes." What if the guest does not want to leave and chooses, instead, to partake of some more bud? Will staff order the person out, and see to it the guest will get home safely? This is just more of the same from a city which values tax revenue over the safety of residents. We certainly don't lounges in residential neighborhoods, still another bad idea.
